Torvan

Real routines.
Real rewards.

We build small, focused apps for anyone who wants a more engaging way to manage day-to-day life — whether that's just you, or you and the people who support you. Right now, that's Torvan (formerly Chore Scape).

Get Torvan on Google Play

During our closed test, only invited testers can install Torvan from Google Play. On iPhone, invited testers get it through Apple's TestFlight app.

Torvan

A gamified chore and routine app for anyone — kids, adults, students, neurodivergent folks who thrive on structure — who wants real tasks to feel more rewarding. Run it entirely solo to build your own routines, or bring in a parent, carer, or support worker for real-money rewards. Either way, you complete quests, build routines, and level up a themed card collection as you go.

Two ways to play

Just for you

A complete solo experience — no one else needs to sign up, approve anything, or even know you're using it. Set your own quests, tick them off yourself, earn XP, level up, and collect cards from the full 900-card collection, with a pack of 5 cards for every level you reach. Ideal if you just want a genuinely engaging way to track your own routines and see real progress.

Family & support setups

One person completes real tasks; a parent, carer, or support worker assigns and approves them and pays out real rewards. When they're ready, the person doing the tasks can ask for a payout in the app. Built around the actual relationship between someone building independent routines and the person backing them.

You choose which one when you sign up — see the FAQ for more on how each works.

Nine Worlds to collect

Each World has its own 100-card collection — real historical and mythological figures (real animals in Wildlife), hand-written lore, and rarity tiers up to a shimmering Mythic foil. You start with a welcome pack, and every level you reach brings another pack of 5 cards, from your own World or any of the nine. This is real in-game art, not a mockup.

Pick your World when you sign up — it sets your theme, where your card packs come from to start with, and what you and your Strategist are called in-app. You can change it later in Settings.

Cards aren't just for collecting

Duels, the card game, unlocks at level 3. Build a deck from your cards and battle the computer, with real Health, hand and board limits, and decks to build out as your collection grows. Duels are always against the computer.

Each of the four Duels worlds has its own painted table to play on.

The Viking table: a leather mat on a rough wooden table, with a fire pit burning behind it, a round red shield, gaming pieces and a bowl of nuts.
Viking Age
The Egyptian table: a leather mat in a stone room, with a lit oil lamp, a golden cat statue, a game box and a bowl of dates and figs.
Ancient Egypt
The Age of Sail table: a sea-green cloth on a wooden table, with a candle in a brass lantern, a ship's bell, coils of rope, a telescope and a pair of dividers.
Age of Sail
The Japanese table: a green cloth on a low table on tatami mats, with a paper lamp, a folding fan, two bowls of go stones and a shrine bell.
Feudal Japan

The tables come alive: fires and lamps flicker and light up the table, and the props around the mat answer a tap. Prefer a still table? Switch on Reduced effects in Duels' Settings. More about the tables.

Plans

Plans can't be bought in the app at the moment. Everyone who joins before plans go on sale has free access until 31 December 2026. There's nothing to buy on this website.

One plan covers the whole household: up to 6 Warriors, and up to 4 adults including the person who buys it, so a second parent or carer doesn't pay again. More about plans.

Why we built it

Torvan grew out of a real, ongoing need: helping a family member build independent routines. We're a small operation, building tools we actually use ourselves.
